Thank you for visiting our site.
Our loft is located 30 miles south of Salt Lake City. We fly out of our local club the UCA. About 20 members strong averaging anywhere from 200-500 birds per race (up to 1700 in the combine) and we always fly from the North.
We are a smaller loft breeding from only 12 pair and racing an average of only 20 birds or less per race. My work schedule is unpredictable so I miss a lot of races but keeping things on a smaller scale helps me keep track of exactly what I breed. Who breeds what? and how well they produce is the most important aspect to me when it comes to racing.
My family of pigeons is mainly a Janssen/Van loon based family. I breed from 6 descendants of the "Van Moorsel" line including one direct Grandchild of the Van Moorsel, 2 Grandchildren of "Derek". Also "Kim", "Jante", "Kanon" and a grandson of "Gold Finger" (nestmate to "Van Moorsel") who won 8th place in the Highlander race 2005. (AU 05 UCA 1583)
The Van Loon line comes in through the "Combs. Bleeker" pigeons that I breed from. Grandchildren of Zidane, Mustang and Coco.
I also own a few WINNING imports. Racers that actually flew and competed against thousands and come from a winning line. "Bonte Super" and "Panenko Jr." (See below)
"Bonte Super" a great racing hen! "Panenko Jr." is from a long line of winners
including his mother & father. He has 6 siblings
that have been top racers in the National races
for Freddy Vandenheede!
See what this pair has produced for me

*NO. I DID NOT DOMINATE THE SEASON BUT MY FAMILY OF PIGEONS PERFORMED VERY WELL. I DO NOT FLY ANY "SYSTEMS". THESE RESULTS CAME FROM FLYING NATURALLY THROUGH THE MOLT.
* NOTE: AFTER 5TH RACE, WENT ON VACATION FOR 10 DAYS. BIRDS NEVER SEEMED TO COME BACK INTO FORM AFTER THAT. I'M SURE MOST OF YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES WHEN YOUR NOT AROUND TO FEED AND CONDITION. NOT TRYING TO MAKE EXCUSES, JUST STATING THE FACTS.
Inside the loft
The Breeders section has 15 individual breeding boxes all 15"x30". The Old Bird Section has an open breeding box area where I can lock up individual pair for mating but offer an open enviroment. I use wood dowels for all windows and doors. Also doors slide open rather than swing using a closet track system. All sections have full power and lights. I also put in a storage room for supplies and feed. Holds 500 lbs.
I also use a raised floor with metal grading to keep the loft a bit cleaner and to bring in better ventilation without getting a draft. Old and Youngbirds each have an aviary for bathing, etc.
